

Otha B. “Sonny” Marker, 87 years 5 months of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday April 10, 2020 at 9:15 AM at Greenville Health and Rehab. He was born November 10, 1932 in New Harrison, Ohio the son of the late Harley E. & Julia (Bixler) Marker.
Sonny served his country in the United States Navy in the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a truck driver
Sonny was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 329; a lifetime member of the American Legion; and a member of the Eagle Lodge # 2177 Greenville; he was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: E. Christine Marker whom he married May 5, 1973; his brothers: Ora, Harley JR., Richard, Donald, & Russell Marker; his sisters: Juanita Baker, Dorothy Lecklider, & Maude Ellen Butts.
He is survived by his daughters: Sharon (Michael) Cooper of Galloway, Ohio, Debra Anderson of Greenville; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; his sister: Margaret Mowry of Sidney; nephew: Jim Marker who was a great help in assisting with his needs; & numerous other nieces & nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the family will have a private graveside service at Abbottsville Cemetery with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. The graveside service will be livestreamed on the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Facebook page. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenville Health and Rehab.
