Jean married Roger C. Brown on June 23, 1973 at Pendleton Street Baptist Church in Greenville SC.
Jean was a graduate of Carolina High School in Greenville SC and attended Lander University. She attended Cosmetology School and work at home for 7 years as a Hair Stylist. Jean also worked for Crestview Elementary School Cafeteria for 10 years and Miracle Hill Ministries for 10 years.
Jean's passions were working crossword puzzles, reading books, especially the Bible, and watching sports.
Jean is survived by her husband, Roger C. Brown; son Jeremy Brown; daughter-in-law Elizabeth "Liz" Brown; and son Justin Brown; brother Gib Rogers; niece Heather Laughlin (Brad) and niece Angie Garmon (Stacy).
Jean was preceded in death by; father Gilbert Rogers and mother Elinor Wood Rogers.
A private family visitation for Jean will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, followed by a private family funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Serving as pallbearers are Justin Brown, Jeremy Brown, Adam Cooper, Brad Laughlin, Jake Ticknor, Eric King, Stacy Garmon and Stewart Wood.
