Frank was born May 7, 1936 in Anderson, S. C. he was the son of Mary Hillhouse Axmann and Marion Anton Axmann. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Fripp Axmann of Beaufort.
He attended Boys High School in Anderson and graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, S. C. He taught school at Crescent High School in Iva, S. C. Frank moved to Beaufort in 1965 to work for DSS. He worked in Beaufort for DSS thirty one years. He served as a case worker, supervisor and county director.
He was a long standing member of St. Helena Episcopal Church in Beaufort. He loved serving the Lord through his work with the Acolytes at St. Helena.
He loved Beaufort, the beach, sweet tea, TV game shows and talking with people. He was an avid walker and liked to go to the coffee shop on Bay Street each night.
He is survived by a nephew Todd Axmann, wife Sylvia of Greenville, Martha Axmann, sister-in-law of Spartanburg, a great niece Tara Bringle and niece Jan Bringle of Beaufort, an Uncle, Ed Hillhouse of Anderson and several cousins.
The funeral service will be at St Helena Episcopal Church in Beaufort on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 2:00.
