Stephen Allen Chamness

Steve was a 1965 graduate of Marion High School. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University where he received his undergraduate degree in history and later attended Clemson University where he completed his masters in administration. He retired from Greenville County Schools after 44 years serving as a teacher, coach, mentor, and administrator. After retiring, he served on the board of directors at Greenville Little Theatre.

He is survived by his wife Karen of 34 years; his sons Tom Chamness and his wife Allison, Eric Chamness and Hunter Chamness; and grandchildren Christopher and Caroline Chamness. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Chamness Vaughan.
