On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Andrew (Andy) Tsang, loving husband and dedicated father and grandfather passed away at age 95 at his home in Stamford, Connecticut. Andrew was born on December 9, 1923 in Hong Kong, China to Tsang Wah-Gung and Ng Fanny. He was the eldest of 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
After graduation from Lingnan University in Hong Kong in 1950, Andrew came to the United States to attend Harvard Business School from which he graduated in 1952. In 1954, he was married to Stella Tai, daughter of Tai Kwei-sheng on April 17, 1954 in New York, NY. Andrew worked for John Mansville for two years before he joined IBM where over a 35 year career, he held various senior marketing management positions for IBM in both its World Trade and EMEA (Europe, Middle and East Asia) Divisions which included residing in Copenhagen and Paris. He retired from Finvest, a small investment advisory firm that he co- founded.
Andrew had a passion for tennis, swimming, travel, gourmet food and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Stella Tai, his daughter Margaret, son-in-law Gene Miao, his three grandchildren Christopher, Caroline and Katie and sisters Cecelia Chan and Doris Lo. Always a gracious, generous and encouraging gentle man, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
