Dane, 
Since I first met you, you treated me like a friend. You didn't take anytime to warm up to me or most people. I wish I could of got the chance to know you better. You always cracked me up with your crazy jokes and your since of humor. I will always remember you. You made an impact on mine and a lot of other people's life. You helped me to truly understand verses like Ephesians 2:8- for by Grace you have been saved by faith, and this is not of your own doing;it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 
Scriptures like that will always make me think of you and myself. None of us deserve God's grace, but thank God he chose to save some of us. We will see you again in heaven Dane. I love you.

I am blessed that I was able to have you as my brother. You and Dru helped shape the woman I am today. You truly were one of a kind. You had the ability to put a smile on anyone's face and you didn't care how you made them laugh, you just loved to see others happy no matter how much you were hurting. I have so many funny stories and inside jokes with you that I will cherish forever ( most of them way to embarrassing to share). You always made me laugh until I couldn't breathe, I will forever miss your Jokes and that ornery smile after you made fun of me or gave me a “turtle pinch” (Yes, I will even miss those). I am thankful for the times we shared..  all the summers we spent together, just lying on the couches, stuffing our faces, watching cartoons, and then doing a chores really fast before Momma got home.. Wrestling with you and Dru, Swimming at Uncle Jimmy's house, laying on pallets in the living room watching Three's company, Riding bikes and roller skating around the neighborhood, playing video games ( I know my controller wasn't really plugged in most the time but oh well.), playing on the trampoline, Playing “cars”, Hide & seek in the dark, Playing Barbie & G.I. Joe, even “Camp Boring”, always running late to the bus stop, fighting over the front seat, playing dominoes with you and Momma, Playing at “The Barn”,  Road trips to Daddy's :), Visiting you in Texarkana( I would consider 8 hours straight of  just talking to most people boring.. but there was never a dull moment with you.), Riding around Alma in the mini-van, Taco bell, Pizza Parlor, The “waterhole”, I could go on and on. My heart hurts for selfish reasons knowing I won't see you again on this Earth & that my children won't have the pleasure of meeting their Uncle Daney :), But I find peace knowing you are no longer in pain. You endured more in your short life time then most would in three lifetimes. I never have to worry if you are okay because you could not be in better hands. I am so thankful that God opened your eyes to truth & you were saved. God's true Grace and Mercy has been shown to so many people, including me, in your life and in your passing. You will be forever be Loved and Missed.  I can still hear you in my head and see your face saying “AUDREEEEY…. I LOOOOVE YOUUUU." :) I love you. I will see you again.


There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.

Dane, I know we didn't see each other too much but I always thought of you as a brother. You were always funny and had some remark to make about something. We had the same music taste and everything. I love you and I'll miss seeing you around.

I remember the first time I ever met you we were in the church van for a youth trip & you were singing a song you made up about Petco. You had everyone singing it as soon as we learned it. You were always so entertaining & had me laughing. My favorite time with you would have to be teleporting! You're the only person I've ever known to teleport but you'd never tell me your secret on how to do it! I will miss Evan & I picking you up for church & listening to you talk about how much you love Jesus. I will miss your randomness & you speaking when you shouldn't (which was always the funniest!) But most of all, I'll miss you thanking me for being your friend. I wish I would've thanked you as much as you did me. You honestly were as you'd tell me, "The funniest person you'd ever meet!" I hope one day to hear many FINISHED raps in Heaven by you. There's definitely no more 'Sunshine' here when you're gone.

Dane,

I consider the short time I was able to spend with you a blessing. You truly are, as you would say, "probably one of the funniest people you'll ever meet". I enjoyed the discussions we had about faith and the love of Christ, and all the times you made me laugh. I am also blessed to have been able to call you my friend. I miss you, Dane. I hope to see you again one day in the presence of our almighty God.

Dane my dear son how I love you and have always loved you. You have had such a sweet compassionate heart toward other people...even when they hurt you, you would turn and help them in their time of need. I know that if you could, you would be holding me right now telling me that you are sorry, that you never meant to hurt any one by going away. I know your heart- you wanted approval form others, you wanted to make people happy- help them through their hard times...but you were suffering with grief and pain that most have not known...I know that you confessed Jesus as your Savior and Lord- you told me that you knew that Jesus was "the way the truth and the life"...I know I will see you again because your faith was in the Son of God who took your punishment and my punishment for sin on himself so that we could be justified forever in his sight( Titus 3:7). I am thankful that when we fail- he is faithful to his word. "It is not by works of righteousness that we have done but according to his mercy that he saves us". Titus 3:5
I will always think of you my son-I will remember the silly things you did that made me laugh and the things you did that annoyed me! You will always be in my heart and on my mind until I see you again in heaven. on Mothers day you wrote me a note- you said that you knew what would make me happy was to know that you were saved...and it is true Dane. I will find comfort in that letter- in the text you sent to Dru telling him that you had finally understood and were saved, and the day I saw you get up from your seat and go up to the front of the church to tell pastor Jason that you wanted God to transform your life...only a few weeks from your passing. I love you son- I miss you baby. I am thankful for the amount of time I was able to have you in my life.

Words fail me... But I need to let you all know that you have all been on my mind. I have been praying for you all and love you. I will continue to pray.. I know the loss is great and you will continue to need God's peace and comfort.

It's hard to imagine that I'll never hear his laugh, I'll never hear another story... I'll never see my best friend again, and after all the times he tried and failed, he would always be there afterwards, and he'd be okay. The loss of Dane hurts deeply

My heart hurts today, I miss your smile and your sweaty hugs it hurts knowing on this earth I'll never see that smile or hug you on this earth but we will reunite in heaven. I rejoice in knowing Jesus wiped every tear from your eyes, and your sorrow is gone. You were so loved Dane. There will never be anyone like you. Today is going to be so hard but we will be strong for you like you were always so strong for us.I know a day won't go by that I don't miss your smile, hugs, or the outlandish things you always said but I have found peace and strength through Christ. I love you forever & Always DaneyDoo. You would have been the best Uncle I'll always tell Abram how excited you were and how much you already loved him.

I am so sorry for your loss, Dane was such a sweet man & very kind hearted.

Dad just told me and neither of us can believe it. I hate to hear of your loss and I will keep your family in my prayers.

Joyce, my heart aches for all of you. One of my fondest memories was when Johnna decided Dane needed to watch Grays Anatomy. So I'd pick him up on my way home. I know he ended up liking the show. But would never let Johnna know. They were big buds from grade school up. I pray for comfort for the family in the days to come

your one in a million i could never find another like you..i love you and will miss you greatly.its unbelievable my heart is heavy and i pray your family makes it through.i will never forget the times we shared.the memories we made. You are loved.
