Barbara Lea Williams, 77, passed away on July 19, 2018. She was born on February 20, 1941 in Westfir, Oregon to Francis and Sylvia Allen. She attended Franklin High School in Portland, and she graduated in 1959.
Barbara met her future husband, Donald Williams, during the summer before she became a freshman. They were married on April 11, 1964, and they were married for 54 years. They had three children, Scott, Sylvia and Donald.
Barbara was a hard worker and very dedicated to her career. She worked as a secretary for the Centennial School District for over 30 years, while also working for Mervin’s during that time. She retired after 30 years of dedicated service. In addition to being a hard worker, Barbara had many hobbies that she pursued over the years. She enjoyed canning, needlework, knitting and reading. She was a game show enthusiast, a multitasker, and she enjoyed hosting parties. Barbara bowled in numerous bowling leagues for over 55 years, bowling a minimum of twice a week.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Donald Williams Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Williams Sr.; her children, Scott Williams and Sylvia Greenwood; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 10 am to 7 pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
