Geraldine Hazel Douglass

Gerrie was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 03, 1944, to Dorothy Jurado. She was raised with her siblings Brenda, Cathy, Barbara and Steve.

Gerrie would meet the love of her life, Dewayne Douglass at a chance meeting of a family member in 1961. Dewayne was an active-duty US Marine stationed in Camp Pendleton, California, so most of their courtship was long distance. Excited to start their new life together, Gerrie would soon join Dewayne in CA. They would be married on August 04,1962. The couple would soon find themselves expecting their first of their three children. After some complications with the pregnancy, Gerrie would travel to Wood Village, Oregon to be cared for by her new in-laws Charles and Lois Douglass and soon would be joined by Dewayne after his discharge. Gerrie took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren.

In 1980 Gerrie started her commercial cleaning company, A Womans Touch. She was well known throughout the Portland/Gresham metro areas for her hard work and dedication.

Gerrie is survived by her husband of 61 years Dewayne. Her children; Matthew Douglass,

Sherrie Dixon and James Douglass. Gerrie has 6 grandchildren Nicole, Jack, Douglas, Jonathan, Karyna, and Hillary. She was a great grandmother of 8 and a great, great grandmother to one.
