Joretta “Jo” Marie Ferrington, 85, passed away on May 16, 2018 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born in North Powder, Oregon to Chester and Eudora May. She attended Corbett Grade and High School, where she met her future husband Dale Ferrington. She graduated in 1951. On February 7, 1952, she married Dale.
Jo was a homemaker, and a wonderful mother to their three children, Louise, Bob and Glenda. She was involved in their school activities and sporting events. When she became a grandmother, she was also very involved in her grandchildren’s lives, and she would never miss the chance to attend their games.
Jo and Dale were a part of the East County Windwalkers, and they often helped organize events. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing scrabble, completing her daily crossword puzzle from the newspaper, reading a good book, and playing pinochle. She greatly enjoyed traveling, and for their 50th anniversary, they took their family and some close friends on a Caribbean Cruise. After Dale retired, they had many wonderful and exciting adventures, traveling to places such as Hawaii, Alaska, the Cook Islands and New Zealand. Jo will always be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother and grandmother, and she will be forever missed.
