Joseph John Glasser Jr. was born February 4, 1932 in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. He was the youngest of 10 boys and 1 girl. He graduated from Glen Ullin High School and played semi-pro basketball for a short time. He married his high school sweetheart, Lillian Herz on October 27, 1952. He was employed by Montgomery Wards in management and sales. In 1970 he was transferred to Portland. Sadly, Lillian passed away in 1973. They were raising 4 boys, Ronald, Jerry, Dale & Mark. He later retired from furniture sales with Levitz in 1994.
In 1976 he married JoAnn Artz. They celebrated 44 years of marriage together. JoAnn has 3 children, Jeanne, Jay and Julie.
He loved basketball, the Trailblazers, Oregon Ducks, Oregon State Beavers, gardening, fishing and bowling.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Theresa Glasser, wife Lillian, 3 sons Ronald, Jerry & Mark, 9 brothers and his sister.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, JoAnn, son Dale & wife Linda, step-children Jeanne, Julie & Jay, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on August 27, 2021 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church located at 2310 SE 148th Ave. in Portland. Rosary begins at 10:30 a.m. Service at 11:00 a.m.
