David Llewellyn Smith

David will be deeply missed by his children Cathy (Jeremy), Chris, Dynette, David, and Jen (Bill). Proud grandfather to Kyle, Alyshia, Matthew, Meghan, Payton, Donovan, Caressa, Lexi, Wyatt, Tessa, Tanner, Grayson and Chayce, and great-grandfather to Hunter, Avalynne, Angelo, and Antonio. Dear brother to Doug (Abby), Bill, Wes, and Fred (Gayle). He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Dave was a kind, sweet friend to everyone. He always had a smile, an encouraging word and a way of making everyone feel welcome. He spent 15 years with Skyjack, where he especially enjoyed the company golf tournaments and the friendships made along the way. An avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan, he was known for his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humour that always brought laughter to those around him. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone in his dart league. His generosity, sportsmanship and warm heart will never be forgotten.

The family is grateful to the staff at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus for their exceptional care.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 7 starting at 2:00 pm at the Raging Bull Dart Lounge and Banquet Hall, 84 Lewis Rd. Guelph.

Private cremation. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of David to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
