Earl Burnett Wilkinson

Wilkinson, Earl Burnett (Burn) -- Loving husband for 65 years of Doris (Nee McCrea). Burn passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2008 with his wife and family at his side. He was the proud father of Ron, Beth, Jim, and Greg, and grandfather of Geoffrey, Devin, Lindsay, Brad, Stuart, Katelyn, Joshua, and Brianna and great-grandfather of Araceli and Sophie. Burn was born in Normanby, Township Ontario in 1916. He landed on Juno Beach on D-Day and was later wounded in France as a Major in the Regina Rifles.. Burn retired after long and successful careers in funeral supply and financial planning and was also an active Rotarian since 1971. Burn had a positive impact, in his joyful way, on many people in Church , family, business and community. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph.
