Maxine Trierwiler was born March 20, 1933 to Max and Monika Hofman in Chicago, Illinois. She was blessed to be raised and loved by wonderful parents who have both preceded her in death. She shared her childhood with her beloved brother Max Hofman, of Rhinelander, WI., who survives Maxine with his wife Connie Hofman. Connie also survives Maxine and was a very close “sister” influence in her life.
Maxine married the love of her life, Joseph Anthony Trierwiler, on June 23, 1951. Joe passed away May 12, 1993. Joe and Maxine shared many adventures in life. Together they raised two daughters, Julie Mae Sexton, Ironwood MI., who married Terence Sexton on March 17, 1979, and Linda Dinkelmann, Belleville, IL., Maxine’s daughters were her love and life since Joe’s passing.
Maxine is also survived by her grandchildren: Joe Sexton, Wausau WI., Monica Busterud, Tomahawk, WI., married to Bo Busterud with children Christopher, Kortney and Hunter. Laura Lyn Gregory, Fairbanks AK., and her loving husband Josh Gregory. Vincent Scott Dinkelmann, Belleville., IL., with his wife Kayla Dinkelmann, who completed the circle of Maxine’s life.
Maxine resided between Gurnee Illinois and Lake Tomahawk Wisconsin where she and Joe raised their family and built a life together. The home in Lake Tomahawk was a very special place for her and her family. She spent her honeymoon on the Lake Tomahawk island which Joe then purchased for them many years later. Maxine spent her summers at the island with family and friends building a lifetime of cherished memories.
