Wallace (Jack) L. Hill, 85, of Waukegan passed away Thursday, July 02, 2015 at Terrace Nursing Home. He was born November 16, 1929 in New Albany, Mississippi. He came to Waukegan in 1951 and found a job at John's Manville where he retired after 37 years. He married Lois Phelps on July 3, 1953 and stayed in this area the remainder of his life. He enjoyed playing cribbage and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his children Diane (Steve) Merkling, David (Tessie) Hill and Dawn Imroth; grandchildren Shannon (Tim) Vasey, Danielle (Cory) Torkelson, Jake (Shannon) Merkling, Erin (Trent) Ethington, Brian Hill, Jami and Tami Imroth; and 7 great grandchildren Gage, Grace, Kendall, Jalen, Julian, Avery and Coleton. he was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents Claude and Lavada Hill and brother William. Visitation 10-12 PM on Tuesday at Marsh Funeral Home. Funeral Service 12 PM Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Marsh Funeral Home. Burial Highland Memorial Park.
