Davida Eve ZULLOW

June 1, 1946November 19, 2020

On Thursday, November 19, 2020, Davida Eve Zullow, loving wife, mother of three children, and grandmother of two grandchildren, passed away at the age of 74 in Englewood, NJ. Davida was born on June 1, 1946, in The Bronx, NY to Jacob (“Jack”) and Doris Weil, who raised her and her brother Adam in Roseland, NJ. She received a degree in journalism from Syracuse University in 1968, and worked as an advertising copywriter for three decades. On March 1, 1970, she married Edward Zullow. Edward and Davida settled in Tenafly, NJ, where they raised three children, Michael, Evan, and Ilyssa. To Davida’s great joy, they also became grandparents to two granddaughters, Alice and Margot. Davida lived her life with a full and generous heart. She warmly opened her home to family, friends, and neighbors. She cooked mountains of delicious food. She was a wonderful storyteller, and wrote with precision and beauty. She laughed frequently and had a keen sense of humor. And she will be missed by the many family and friends whose company she cherished and whose lives she touched. Davida was predeceased by her father Jacob and mother Doris. She is survived by her husband Edward, her children Michael (Keila), Evan (Emily), and Ilyssa (Tommy), her grandchildren Alice and Margot, her brother Adam (Janine), her cousin Ellen (Rick), and numerous other beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Dear Zullow Family,
It is with great sadness that I write my condolences to all of you. Davida was a West Essex classmate of mine and such a nice person, outgoing , friend to all, a very bright person to be around. I last saw Davida at our 2006 class reunion. Ed do you remember we ran into you and Davida at the Long Branch Pier a long time ago and you both came back to our condo down the street?
You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Fellow West Essex Classmate. I spoke to her in February and we were excited about a possible class reunion soon. Davida was one of the kindest people I knew, always pleasant and never a bad word about anyone. She will be missed.
