Gary Lee Davish, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Mount Pleasant Retirement Community. He was born on December 21, 1933 in Hamilton, the son of the late Edwin and Georgeanna (Staph) Davish. Gary served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a Civil Engineer for the City of Hamilton for many years, then as an HR Manager for several companies. He also volunteered with the Sisters of Mercy at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton and Fairfield for several years. Gary is survived by his children, Lynne (James) Carlson, Shari Davish, and Gary Davish, Jr.; step-daughters, Diane Overstreet and Cheri Johnson; grandchildren, Melissa Henderson, Susan Gentry, Eddie Davish, Bailee Davish, James (Erica) Carlson, Jr., Amanda Carlson, Paige (Frank) Frost, and Sara (Clint) Pelfrey; numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Dawn Michael. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jesse Scudder; and brother, George Davish. A Visitation will be held from 10am until 11am on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am on Saturday at the funeral home with James Carlson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
