Roberta L. Day

Roberta L. Day, age 92 of Hamilton passed away at Glen Meadows on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM. She was born in Lowell, Kentucky on May 26, 1919 the daughter of Robert and Florida Lee (Boian) Elliott. Roberta was valedictorian of her class at McKee High School in 1937. She was employed in the print shop at Ohio Casualty for 15 years, retiring in 1984. In 1938 in Waneta, Kentucky she married William Harold Day, and he preceded her in death in 1970.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruth (Charles) Oakes of Texas, Eadie (Ronald R.) Spivey and Billie Jean Phelps, both of Hamilton; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. . She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Joan Winkler; and a grandson, Douglas Oakes.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Mullins of Calvary Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
