George Keith Forrest

With broken hearts we announce the passing of George “Keith” Forrest on July 18, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in his 71st Year. He will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Valerie (née Double). His children Colin, Christine (Doug), and Shelley (Tammy) were his pride and joy. Keith was loved and admired by his grandchildren Heather (Josh), Kevin, David, Victoria (Philip), Colin (Danielle), and Leah. His great-grandchildren were the love of his life—Reiner, Hunter and Sophia. To mourn his passing are his sisters Donna (Rob) and Isabel (Ed). He will be missed by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marlene and Bill, Janet and Ray, Millie and Jerry, and Mary and the late Stan Double. He will be remembered by his Aunt Helen and Uncle Fred Edwards, and many nieces and nephews. Keith was a devoted employee of U. S. Steel (Stelco) for 38 years. Keith was a humorous and brave man. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME--FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
