Peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at The Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, while holding the hands of her two daughters, Grace Elizabeth Brohman (née Tyrrell) gained her wings. She has been reunited with her parents, George and Grace, and with the father to her girls, Michael (2022). Grace was a devoted mother to Michelle Boissiere (Adam), Karly Turnbull (Nick), and Alyssa Bucciero (Lucas), a cherished Nana to Avery, Sofia, Cole, Noelle, and Amara, and an adored sister to Glen Tyrrell (the Late Heather). Grace will be terribly missed by "The June Street Girls," especially Susan Kinnear, close friend Peter Ticknovich and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was known for her selflessness, warmth, and generosity. Grace was not only a devoted mother but also a best friend to her daughters. She was a proud member of the Port of Grace Church, where she found solace and community. In her youth, she was an active participant in Highland Dancing. She played soccer for the first female team in her community. She had a deep affection for her dogs Chase and Hannah, enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Lake Erie, and taking leisurely walks with her dogs on the beach. Grace had a passion for travel and embarked on numerous cruises, with a particular fondness for New Orleans, having visited the city an astonishing 19 times! Grace was also a member of the Reifs Wine Club and loved hosting parties for her friends and family. She had a taste for music and was often found listening to Bob Seger and Melissa Etheridge. In her professional life, she started as a dental assistant but eventually became a sales representative for Henry Schein.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A time to come together and offer comfort has been set aside at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, ON, on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a service to follow in the chapel. Special thanks to the palliative team at Douglas Memorial Hospital (Dr. Scher) and to the Juravinski Cancer Centre for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation to the Compassionate Dose in Grace's memory. Grace touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
