Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on April 1, 2024. Predeceased by her loving husband Kasmer, daughter Kathleen, father Michael and mother Aniela Chwiejczak, brothers John and Edward, sisters Sophie and Lillian. She is survived by her brother Al Chwiejczak, her dog Rosie, many nieces and nephews. Dedicated employee of Sears for 25 years. She was a highly respected and most cherished member of St. Eugene’s Parish where she took great pride in sharing her special Eucharist minister responsibility with the parishioners. She was a kind and giving soul who dedicated many of her years caring for others, especially her much loved brother Al. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Memorial Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), on Monday, April 8, from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene's Parish (Queenston Rd. at Parkdale) on Tuesday, April 9, at 10am. A burial of Jeanne’s ashes will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Hamilton SPCA would be appreciated.
