It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John, at his home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the age of 55. Beloved father of Zenon and Jack. Great-uncle of Mikaela and Emily. Predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Natalia. John was full of life and loved his family. He was a survivor and optimist, even when life didn’t always work in his favour, but he always found a way. Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. I will miss John. I looked forward to his smile and his sense of humour whenever I saw him. He truly was the life of any get together we had and all of us...his friends, mourn his loss. He will never be forgotten. I pray that his family can find comfort in knowing he is now with his beloved parents. Rest in peace.

John was the light of every room, every gathering, every celebration, and he was supportive through difficult times. He will be so missed for that light, and constant optimism. He was one of a kind in this life. My prayers and immense sympathies are with his entire family for missing this light, but I hope that a million wonderful memories will help them through.
