EDYTHE A. EAGER, 84, of Harlan, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Hicksville, Ohio. She was born on Jan. 5, 1926, in Fort Wayne. She graduated from Harlan High School in 1943. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired as a seamstress from Wieland Furniture Co., Grabill and she had also been a seamstress at Federspiel Drapery Co. for over 20 years. Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie E. (Rod) Hanefeld of Harlan; son, John P. (Linda) Eager of Harlan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ellen Dean of Rockford, Ill. and Doris Garber of Coshocton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gerald, in 2006; son, Jerry, in 2003; three sisters; and three brothers. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, Harlan. Burial in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan. Preferred memorials to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
