

She was born to the late Lion and Agnes (Sanker) Conrad in Cresson, PA.
Agnes graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1958. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Cameron Simmers April 8, 1961, and lived in Pennsauken, NJ for 3 yrs before moving permanently to Lancaster, PA.
Agnes worked as a bookkeeper for several years and was involved with the Lancaster Art Association, the Lancaster Chapter of the Mothers of Twins Club, and the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134. She was an accomplished and passionate toll painter and artist. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her beloved friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Lynn Cox of Pittsfield, ME, Bob Simmers of Atlanta, GA, Cheryl Baldwin of Lewes, DE, and Denise Simmers of Chambersburg, PA; six grandchildren, Brian and Jessica Simmers of Seattle, WA, Nathan and Alissa Cox of Pittsfield, ME, and Dylan and Cameron Baldwin of Lewes, DE; her three siblings, Ida Beistline and Ted Conrad of Harrisburg, PA, and Richard Conrad of Carlisle, PA.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 12, 2014, 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134, 219 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Bob Fryer and Family Hospice Inpatient Center, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt. Joy, PA 17552.
