

Growing up, Al enjoyed taking care of and riding his horses.
Al attended Trinity High School in Washington, PA where he participated in football and graduated in 1958.
Al joined the Pennsylvania State Police in 1962 and retired in 1996.
Al was married to Lois (Miller) Eckenroad in 1978 and they lived in Emporium, PA till they retired. Following his retirement they split their time in Harrisburg, PA with their daughter and Fort Myers, FL.
Al was preceeded in death by his parents and a brother, John M. Braden Jr.
Al is survived by his wife Lois, step-daughter, Jean, two sisters, Ida Perrault and Cathi Hemlepp, a nephew, Rick Perrault & three nieces, Jodi Braden, Deborah Braden and Dianne Perrone and several great-nieces & nephews.
At the request of the decedent there will be no visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Swatara Township Police K-9. Make out check to “Swatara Township Police Department” with K-9 in the memo and attach a note in memory of Alfred Braden, 400 Summers Street and mail to Swatara Township Police Department, Attn: Community Services, 599 Eisenhower Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
