

Alton Paul Williams, 90, of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly a resident of Essex House, Lemoyne, PA and most recently a resident of Golden Living Center, Shippenville, PA, passed away October 16, 2010. Born November 24, 1919 in Valley Creek, TX, he was a son of the late George S. and Maude (Wright) Williams.
- Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Williams; daughter, Laurie Lee Williams; brother, Taylor Clark Williams; and sister, Grace Williams Whitt.
- Surviving Alton are daughter, Shawn Williams Corcetti and husband, Ronald J. of Knox, PA; grandchildren, Nickolas Scott Corcetti of Knox, PA, Jeffrey Ronald Corcetti and wife Ashley of Clarion, PA, and Jody Elizabeth Corcetti of Coraopolis, PA; great-grandchildren, Miah Corcetti and Dominick Corcetti; and niece Barbara Williams Sanderson and family from Bonham, TX.
- Alton graduated from Leonard High School, Leonard, TX in 1936 and attended East Texas State Teachers College. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1940-1961, retiring as Lt. Col. Alton is a veteran of the Korean Conflict and World War II, serving in Europe, North Africa and the Philippines. He was awarded 2 bronze stars, 2 Army Commendation medals and a Presidential Unit Citation. He also retired from the U.S. Navy Base in Mechanicsburg, PA in 1982. He was ordained as a Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of Central PA in 1974, and served at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mechanicsburg, PA and at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA.
- A memorial service will be held at 2:00, October 23, 2010 at St. Stephen's
Cathedral, Harrisburg, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Cathedral, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, or the charity of one's choice.
