

Anna Daisy (Berger) Marshall, 89, of Aston, died April 14, 2014, at home with her family. Born in Philadelphia, Anna was the daughter of the late John and Anna T. Henchey Berger. Anna proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and after the war she was employed at the DuPont Company, Philadelphia, where she met her husband, Fred. Anna became a stay at home mom with her three children and lived in Drexel Hill for 23 years. She served as a Democratic Committee Woman and was active in several charities and her Church, St Andrew's. In 1977 Anna and Fred moved to St Petersburg, Florida, where she was active in the American Legion, the Women's Navy Group, and her Church. She also was a volunteer for over 20 years at the Bay Pines Veterans' Hospital in Florida, working in the Hospice and as a Eucharistic Minister. Anna enjoyed reading, shopping, entertaining, cooking, listening to music, and sharing movie trivia.
Anna is predeceased by her husband, Frederick Stanley Marshall who died in 2004 and their son, John Frederick Marshall who died in 2011.
Anna was a very dedicated mother and grandmother and is survived by her daughters Patte (Chip Michel) and Leslie (Mark Sannino), her grandchildren, Michele Sannino (Robb Tharp), Jessica Michel (David Bell) and Jim Sannino, her great-grand son, Matthew Tharp, and her daughter"in-law Anne Marshall. Her family and her friends will miss her wonderful humor and the smile she so readily offered.
Military Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Bay Pines, Florida " date to be announced.
