She was 68 years old, born on May 7, 1956 to the late William S. Dempsey and Lottie T. (Skonieczski) Dempsey.
Anne was born and raised in Delaware County and recently moved to Harrisburg, PA.
She graduated from Garnet Valley High School and Kutztown University with a degree in Art Education.
Although Anne did not have any children of her own, she had many students who affectionately referred to her as “Miss Anne”.
Over the years, Anne taught art and music to students of all ages - the youngest of pre-school children as well as her seniors. Her most recent positions were at the Darlington Arts Center as well as Tyler Arboretum. To say Anne loved the Arts, is an understatement. She was passionate about all the Arts – movies, theatre and musical performances. She enjoyed them through many different mediums. She was always working on multiple projects on her own but most of all she loved sharing them with her students, friends and family.
She was an avid reader and was always expanding her own library. She was a lover of all kinds of literature, from children’s books to a good romance novel or murder mystery.
Unfortunately, recently she suffered from macular vision loss which hindered her from enjoying her reading as much as she had in the past.
Anne is survived by her sister Stephanie (Dempsey) Breitmayer of Downingtown as well as her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Diane (Dee) Burgy, and brother William S. Dempsey Jr.
Anne was cremated and there will be no formal services.
Her ashes will be spread to have her love of nature live on.
