

Asa entered this world on April 15, 1934 in Williamsport, PA.
He is survived by his daughter Paula (Rory) Haine of Halifax, daughter Laurie (David) Estep of Pass Christian, Mississippi, son Asa Scott (Tammie) Daniels of Mount Ida, Arkansas, daughter Jennifer (Dwayne) Daniels Kahler of Ashland, Virginia and son Jeffrey (Marjorie) Daniels of Pilesgrove, New Jersey. Asa is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nephews and cousins.
Asa was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Roberta Jean Daniels, his parents, Paul and Thelma Daniels and his sister, Bonnie Lee Bailey.
Asa graduated from Williamsport High School in 1953 after completing courses at the Technical School for Architectural Drafting. Asa served in the US Navy both in Iceland and upon the USS Newport News. Asa also served in the US Naval Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1960. Asa retired from the state of Pennsylvania where he last worked as a Plans Examiner. Asa owned and operated several businesses throughout his life and proudly earned himself the title “Jack of all Trades and Master of None.”
Asa was a lifetime member of the American Legion, where he held numerous positions across various posts depending on his geographical location at the time. Asa participated in many civic organizations throughout his life, most recently with the Carsonville Fire Co. and Fire Police. Asa was a firm believer of “the great JC.”
Asa will be honored with a military funeral and burial on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10 am where he will be interred with his wife Roberta J. Daniels at Fort Indiantown Gap. A celebration of life will take place, following the service, at his home on Powells Valley Road in Halifax from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Contact children for the address and any additional details.
