

Audrey June Kovalchick, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 at her home with her beloved family by her side. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Kovalchick, with whom they shared 59 years together.
Born March 17, 1931, in York, Audrey was the daughter of the late Howard & Freda Myers. She is predeceased by her sister Patricia Wilhide and survived by her sister Margaret Fissel. She is also survived by her 4 children and their mates, Bruce & Nancy Kovalchick, Gregory & Pamela Kovalchick, Wanda & John Jacobs, Pamela & Vasilios Goumalatsos. In addition, she is survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Audrey graduated from William Penn High School in 1949. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was noted for her hospitality, readily expending herself in behalf of others. Through the years, she enjoyed traveling and keeping a record of her travels with photography. Audrey also had deep love of God’s Word, the Bible, and was an ardent student of it. As a result, she loved sharing what she was learning with her neighbors by way of door-to-door ministry. She engaged in this ministry with her family, not only in the York area, but also in the states of Maine (5 yrs) and Tennessee (2 yrs). Audrey was a dedicated and faithful Christian Witness of Jehovah since 1941. She had been attending the Pigeon Hill’s Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hanover for the last 19 years.
A memorial service for Audrey will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1620 Youngs Rd., Hanover, PA 17331. The service will be preceded by a video picture presentation to begin at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pigeon Hills Congregation of Jehovah’s witnesses.
