Caroline Marie Shea

Caroline Marie (Aubin) Shea, born May 29, 1932, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Shea of Oxford, Alan Shea of Brookfield, John Shea of Brookfield, and Eric Shea of Shrewsbury, all of Massachusetts; her son, David Shea of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Laura Shea Kerr of Greenville, Maine; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Nala.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Maurice James Shea; her son, Derek Shea; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Shea.

Caroline was known for her warm smile, gracious heart, and deep love for children. She is fondly remembered as “the last of the beautiful Aubin girls.”

A remembrance service honoring her 93 years will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 80 Apple Avenue, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family, friends, caregivers, and members of the community are welcome to attend.

A burial service will be held at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough, Massachusetts, on May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the caregivers and health aides who provided care and support over the past five years following her stroke.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation & Burial Society of Pennsylvania.
