

She received her formal education in Brunswick, GA graduating from Risley High School. As a child and young girl, she attended Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and played the piano.
On October 1, 1954, Carolyn married Marvin Davis, Sr. They would eventually relocate to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where they settled and started a family raising two daughters and one son. Carolyn retired in 1988 from the City of Philadelphia as a Housekeeper.
Carolyn started visiting From The Heart Church Ministries of Philadelphia in March 2017 wherein she ultimately participated in New Members’ Orientation on Saturday, May 6, 2017 (her 84th birthday), a 3-day Perfecting Class (July 27 – July 29, 2017) and was consecrated as a full member by Pastor (Emeritus) Jeffrey V. Branson on Sunday, August 6, 2017. As she was residing in Harrisburg, PA, she would participate as much as she could traveling to FTHCMOP for Communion Sunday services and various other special events. She also participated in the Golden Hearts Ministry.
Carolyn loved colorful things. In particular, she greatly appreciated the beauty of colorful plants and flowers. Gardening was her passion and hobby.
Carolyn Louise Davis, age 92, transitioned into eternal life on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Carolyn was predeceased by her father, mother, husband, sister (Ella Mae Williams Brown), brothers (Aaron Robert Williams, Jr., Charles E. Williams, Sr. and Cooper L. Williams).
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Cynthia L. Davis and Cheri L. Bush; her son, Marvin Davis, Jr. (Vernita); eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
