Catherine Elizabeth Weathers

Catherine Elizabeth "Cat / Princess" Weathers, 84, passed away on June 21,2024 surrounded by the many staff who loved and adored her at the Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. Catherine was born on September 5, 1939 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, She lived a vibrant life characterized by resilience and a spirited personality.

Catherine spent her career years working in retail, where she was known for her diligent work ethic and friendly demeanor. Away from work, she had a passion for fashion, playing bingo, attending yard sales, and cooking. Catherine was often described as the life of the party, her presence resonant and joyful, making every gathering memorable.

Family was the cornerstone of Catherine's life. She is survived by her brother, Johnny “ChickLee” Walker of Harrisburg, PA, her cousin, advocate and caretaker, Angela Parker of Chesapeake, VA, who made sure she had everything she wanted and needed as well as getting the best care available, along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Weathers, her parents, Daisy Bailey and Johnny Walker, Sr., and her sons, Stevie Walker, Ralph Weathers, and Rickie Walker.

A private memorial service will be held at a time convenient for her family. The Cremation and Burial Society of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, PA, is assisting with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, honoring Catherine's memory and her final days which were made comfortable by their care.
