The world has lost the smile that Jack brought to everyone who met him. Jack’s warm heart and fun, easy-going personality were apparent in his every expression, his posture, his voice, and his actions. Above all, Jack was a devoted brother to his sisters, Teagan and Charlotte Hurt, as well as his step-brothers, Michael and Steven Dimino, and a devoted son to his mother, Jennifer (Hurt) Dimino. He was always their confidant, their supporter, and the rock on whom they could depend.
Friend to all, Jack has touched the lives of so many people that he came to know while a student in Middletown, Maryland; during his international exchange visit in Germany; and at Shippensburg University, where he was majoring in Mathematics. Jack enjoyed, and excelled at, both lacrosse and hockey. He played both sports at Middletown High School, from which he graduated in 2015, and he played hockey for Shippensburg.
Jack is survived also by his father, David W.C. Hurt; by his grandparents, Carol Armenise, Donald Bohach, David M.C. Hurt, and Joan Hurt; by his uncle, Donald M. Bohach; by his aunt, Valerie Bonham; his step-father, Michael Dimino, Sr.; and by hundreds of friends, for whose support the family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude.
A memorial service will be held in January.
