I knew Dave through Joanne. Always such a nice person to be around. I'd see him off and on throughout the years at Senators games, the Legion and so on. Had just seen and talked to him at the Lawnton Legion. Could not believe it when I saw he passed. You'll be missed Dave; it was a pleasure to have known you

Cubby ...a good man, and a great shipmate! I was lucky enough to be stationed with him from 77-79 and blessed to call him a friend. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and the Sailors who were lucky enough to know him. He was always quick with a joke, or a smart azz comment, kinda what I liked the best about him! Just another of the fine examples of good people the Lord called home to soon for us to understand.  He never failed to remember things I didn't.

My condolences to Matt and the Weyandt Family.  Davy and I had some great times together.   Darts, Poker games, traveling to PSU football games,  Philly baseball games,fantasy football and just meeting at the Club for a couple of beers.  Sure will miss you Davy.

I served with Cubby on the Vogie 75-77. Cubby had a great sense of humor and was not afraid to pull a good natured prank on a shipmate. He also would laugh if we were lucky enough to get him going. Cubby was a great sailor who performed his duty well. Fair Winds and Following Seas shipmate.

I will miss his laugh.  A true friend who  was liked, loved, and respected by those who knew him.  He held true to his beliefs and did not compromise his principles.   We shared many good times, throwing darts, playing fantasy football, and just hanging out.  Although we had grown apart in recent years (life has a way of doing that to us) I will cherish the memories that we shared.   You will be missed by all who knew you.

I just can’t believe that Dave is gone. He and I served together onboard USS Vogelsang. Dave and I looked foward to our ships reunion. I will miss our conversations. I will miss him. RIP Dave.

My Condolences to Cubbies Family and Friends...So many great memories and happy times with Cubby from the Vogie,  The CIC Gang  (OS2),  Our Newport Championship Softball Team (Cubbie made the greatest catch I ever seen in right field sliding across the foul line, almost hitting a power pole for the third out), our Vegas trips with his Pennsylvania gang...we will celebrate your life at out Vogie reunion in September! Have  a catch with Willie, We Have The Watch Shipmate, until we meet again The Mooseman and I won't forget about the firecrackers
