Delores Anne Evert

Delores “Dot” Anne Steinour Conick Evert, 87, of Carlisle, went to be with the Lord, May 22, 2025. Delores was born July 10, 1937 in Carlisle, PA, the oldest daughter of the late Eleanor McGee and Edgar Steinour. Her loving and devoted husband, Charles Evert, preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Starr (John) Lehman, James (Helene) Conick, Terrence (Mary) Conick, and Nora (Paul) Salyers, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her brother, Robert Steinour, predeceased her. Her surviving siblings are Mary Cramer, Donna Thumma, Judy Vulgamott, Dennis Steinour, and Andrew Steinour.

Dot was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and enjoyed quilting and square dancing. Charles and Delores traveled the country in their motorhome for several years with many stops to square dance.

Delores was cremated and will be interred with her beloved Charles Evert at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. The graveside service will be held on June 6th at 12:30 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

There will be a celebration of life following the graveside ceremony at South Fairview First Church of God located at 1212 Centerville Road Newville, Pa. at 3:00 pm.
