Denise Burnheimer, lovingly known as “Dee,” passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on May 29, 1964, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Denise lived a life full of love, laughter, and a free spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Denise had a deep love for animals and embraced all things free-spirited and joyful. She lived by the words she often preached: peace, love, and happiness. Her light-hearted greeting, “What’s kick’n chicken?” will forever echo in the hearts of her family, a reminder of her warmth, humor, and the special way she made everyone feel loved.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Craig Bader; her beloved mother, Rosalind Snook; her sister, Regina Miller; her son, Roy Maben and his wife Donelle Maben; her daughter, Rebecca Boeve and her husband Nathan Boeve; and her four grandchildren.
Denise fiercely loved her family and built her life around them. Her spirit, kindness, and laughter will continue to live on through the many memories she created with those she loved most.
Her family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life by continuing to share her message of peace, love, and happiness — just as she would have wanted.
In honoring Denise’s wishes, there will be no formal services, and she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the American Lung Association in her memory, to help others in the fight she so bravely faced.
