Doris Jean Snyder McCormick

She was born October 25, 1929 in Harrisburg, to the late Carl L. and Anna G. (Adam) Snyder. Doris was raised in the Harrisburg Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was an active member and volunteer; and had a great love for her Lord and Savior. She was a graduate from the Lemoyne High School and retired from the PA Credit Union League.

Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and road trip adventures with her sister Betty Bear.

Surviving Doris are her daughters Terri Barr and Cindy Hoffman (Robin); ex son-in-law Del Bar; seven grandchildren: Rick Barr, Rob Barr, Tony Barr, Lori Barr, Steve Armold, Jason Armold, James Snyder; seven great grandchildren: Kody Beck, Danielle Beck, Cullen Armold, Koen Snyder, Bella Armold, Sophie Armold, Riley Armold; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son John J. McCormick, Jr.; brothers Jim, Robert, Bill and Carl Snyder; and her sisters, Betty Bear and Pat Earhart.

Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She possessed a lively spirt and was loved by all.

There will be no public viewing. Services will be private and will be held at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Compassionate Fund for the Needy, Harrisburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 424 Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109-1040.
