Dorothy was born in Carlisle and was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Bessie (Walker) Hummelbaugh.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Crossley, her spouse Janelle Crossley of Newville, PA. Her granddaughter Bonnie Crossley, husband Russ Yoder and two great grandchildren Joe and Lorelai of Lewisberry, PA.
Dorothy and her husband owned an appliance store in Lemoyne for many decades. She also worked for Wentzel’s in Carlisle, and Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, reading and doing word search puzzle books. Her favorite author was Danielle Steele. Although never a golfer herself, Dorothy loved to watch golf on television. One of her favorite golfers was Tiger Woods.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Gerald B. Gibney, her sisters, Betty, Louise, Jean, Helen, and Joyce. And her brothers, Jim, Dick, Jerry and Robert.
A private memorial service will be held for family at a time yet to be determined. There will be no viewing.
