Born July 9, 1924, in Lewisburg, she was a daughter of the late George P. and Helen M. (Boyer) Schell. She was also preceded in death by a sister.
Surviving are a daughter, Schelly B. Homan; a granddaughter, Trisha Homan DiGenova; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Mary DiGenova; and a brother, Paul D. Schell.
Edith was a member of the Union County Library and she enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.
Memorial services will be held at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, American Red Cross, Women's Humane Society, or the Union County Library.
