Edward D. Jones

Edward Donald Jones, age 69 of Marysville, PA passed away on Monday March 17, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital. Born October 27, 1955, in Harrisburg PA son of the late Ed and Reba (Dengler) Bell.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Lisa Cordner; two sons, Robert Jones and Kenneth Jones; stepdaughter, Crystal Farling; sister, Reba McCoy and 8 grandchildren, Kendra, Brycen, Alexis, Joelina, Aron, Kiera, Zander and Jason. He was predeceased by his wife, Candy Jean Jones; parents, Ed Bell and Reba (Dengler) Bell; sister Audrey A. Zerbe and brothers, Wilbur A. Jones, Charles A. Jones, and Richard M. Jones.

Edward, Ed, “Dad” was a loving husband, father, pappy and friend. He loved cook outs with family and friends, he enjoyed going to the mountains, riding four wheelers and doing activities with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching football and was a big fan of Penn State, Ohio State and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He liked playing pool and listening to classic country and Elvis. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix or do. If something came about that he wasn’t familiar with he would research it and figure it out to get the job done. He liked to make people, especially kids, think he was a rough, tough, scary guy; the reality was he was the exact opposite. He was the biggest heart felt teddy bear inside. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He enjoyed giving family, friends and co-workers a hard time but at the end of the day he still said, “Love ya!” While Ed’s time with us seemed too short, he left us with many memories and laughs. He will be dearly missed. Forever loved and always in our hearts.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held for family and friends to cherish his loving memory on Thursday, April 3, 2025, 12:00 Noon, at Christ Community Church 1201 Slate Hill Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
