Elwood E. Anderson

Elwood E. “Andy” Anderson, 76, entered into God’s eternal care Monday, December 30, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer. Andy was born February 11, 1948, in York, to the late Elwood “Sam” Anderson and the late Ethel V. Stone. In 1964, he married the love of his life, and late wife, Teresa “Terri” Anderson, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. He is survived by their four children Kreg and Nicole Anderson of McSherrystown, Kris and Lori Anderson of Abbottstown, Kelly and Larry Pannebaker Jr of Harrisburg and Kimberly and Doug Wolf of Abbottstown, as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). Surviving siblings include Dorothy (William) Klein, Betty (Richard) Brehm, Debbie (Doug) Martin, Karen Forbes, and half-siblings Karen Schenandore, Brenda Thomas, Kenneth Anderson, Gary Anderson, Gloria Fetrow, Brad Anderson, Susan Shannum, Michael Anderson, Alice Sipe and David Anderson.

Andy was retired after spending over 50 years working in various fields of the automotive industry. Working on cars was a labor of love and a passion throughout his entire life. He was a member of the Hanover Home Assoc where he enjoyed socializing with friends or enjoying a bite to eat with family.

In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his wife Teresa, grandson Andrew Anderson, brother Steve Anderson, and sisters, Roxanna Sipling, Anna and Donna Anderson and a half-sister Laura Anderson, as well as his beloved dog and companion of 17 years, Corky.

Following cremation, burial services will be private at the discretion of his children, with a celebration of life service to be scheduled at a later date.
