

She was born July 6th, 1916, in Galenbeck, Germany, the daughter of the late Heinrick and Freida Pusch.
On her 17th birthday, she met Siegfried Rank. They were married in Berlin, in 1938. Siegfried was killed in August of 1944, on the Russian front, during World War II.
Erika survived the bombing of Dresden and Berlin and after the war became a secretary/interpreter for the U.S. Military. In 1950 she married American soldier Harley Anderson, and came to the US as a war bride. Harley Anderson passed away in 1971.
Erika worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at The Department of Labor and Industry from 1961 until her retirement in 1979.
After retiring, Erika traveled the world, visiting Spain, Egypt, the Far East and Africa. She frequently traveled in the company of her dearest friends Velma Williams and the late Colonel Ralph Williams.
She is survived by daughter Gisela Rank Antonuk and husband Larry, of Marlborough, New Hampshire; son Donald Anderson and wife Carol, of Harrisburg
and sister-in-law Erica (Eri) Pusch, of Munich, Germany. She had three grandchildren, Kyle Whelliston, Katie Bickford, and Megan Anderson; two nieces, Helga Kruger and Mueschle Brosio and two nephews, Wolfram Pusch, and Wolfgang Pusch.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl Pusch and Werner Pusch and by a nephew Martin Pusch.
In lieu of a viewing or funeral, Erika wished her ashes to be scattered, by her family, in the Baltic ocean off her native Germany.
