
Born March 4, 1926, in Bressler, PA he was the fifth of ten children to the late Stephan and Dorothy Pinko.
Mr. Pinko served in the US Army, 11th Airborne Division, and was in the honor guard for the funeral of FDR near Warm Springs, GA. He served in the Philippines and Japan during World War II.
Frank retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Company plant in Steelton and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Nancy L. Kunz Pinko, his son Frank L. Pinko (Kathy) of Newville, three daughters, Diane M. Pinko of El Sobrante, CA, Amy Cara of Laurys Station, PA; and Katherine A. Keister (Timothy) of Hummelstown, six grandchildren, Larry Pinko, Bridget West, Michael and Megan Cara, Luke and Sarah Keister, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers Stanley, Anthony, John, William, George, Michael and Stephen; sisters Mary Shade and Anna Balinosky.
Frank's body was donated to the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Inurnment will be at a later date.
A memorial service will be 11:00am, Saturday August 31, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 420 North Progress Avenue, Harrisburg. Visitation will begin 10:30 a.m.
