

Born on November 26, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Marie (Hausch) Toole and Frederick B. Toole.
Fred was a 1957 graduate of GAR High School and a 1961 graduate of Kings College. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War era, and a member of the American Legion Post 109 and The Mechanicsburg Club.
Retired as a supervisor from the Fleet Material Support Office at the Navy Depot of Mechanicsburg, Fred enjoyed a long and storied career. He loved his work, and was universally liked and respected for his fairness and consideration of others.
Fred was a voracious reader with a love of books and an extensive library. He was well-read and possessed a deep knowledge of military history, especially of WWII and Vietnam.
An enthusiastic sports fan, Fred had a passion for Notre Dame Football and March Madness. During retirement, Fred traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and Europe with his beloved wife, Nancy.
The consummate family man, Fred was an engaged and loving husband, father and grandfather. His family always came first, and we will remember him for his intellect, humor, unconditional love, integrity, work ethic and strong belief in always doing the right thing.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy (Siepietowski) Toole; daughter, Lynann Cimino (Rick) of Gladwyne, PA; son Steven Toole (Jana) of Enola, PA; grandson, Jack Cimino, and granddaughters, Sasha and Lily Toole; sister Barbara Toole Sralik (Mike) of Casa Grande, AZ and their children, Dana Vela, Michael Sralik, and John Sralik.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 28th at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 410 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA. The family will greet friends following the service.
