Gail Orena Young

Gail O. Young, 87, of Cumberland County went to be with our lord on April 21, 2025. She was born on the 10th of July 1937 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Daughter of the late Henry and Thelma Enswiler. Gail was preceded in death by her youngest son Ronald (Ronnie) Fisher. She is survived by her other two sons, Donald (D.R.) Fisher and Robert (Bob) Fisher. Also surviving are her four siblings. Edna Zeller, Bill Enswiler, Kay Waddell, and Marilyn Shiffer.

Six grandchildren, Deborah Weary, Rita Fisher, Shanndah Ford, Ronda Ansel, RJ Fisher, and Jeremy Fisher. She also had twelve great grandchildren. Anne Gardner, Patrick Gardner, Thomas Gardner, Samantha Weary, Dylan Weary, Austin Weary, Brandon Weary, Katelyn Weary, Brashaun Mcdade, Kiara Mcdade, Tyler Gary, and Alexis Kohler.

Gail was blessed with four great great grandchildren, Jackson Weary, Ivy Weary, Aria Zinn, and Miley Zinn.

Gail had owned a ceramic shop called Gails Ceramics. She managed the Silver Spring Driving Range. She worked at Blue Ridge Nursing Home in Camp Hill and retired from Manor Care Nursing home in Carlisle.

She enjoyed making others laugh. She was quick witted and sometimes sassy. She loved to play poker and enjoyed golf, bowling, camping and spending time with loved ones. Gail had a unique nick name, Doe. Given by her granddaughter Deborah. That name has, and will continue to carry on for generations to come.

Gail is loved and will be missed by many friends and family.
