He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Sheetz; sister, Glenda Taylor; brother, Gerald Sheetz; brother, Robert Sheetz; and several nieces and nephews.
George is survived by his wife Norma (Bender) Sheetz, who he remained a loyal, vevoted husband to, to the end.
George was born January 16, 1937, and was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, class of 1954. George was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was an avid baseball fan (Atlanta Braves), and football fan (Notre Dame Fighting Irish).
A memorial Service will be held Monday, April 11, at 1:00 at the VFW Post 6771, 22 Franklin St., Dillsburg, PA. Pastor Donald Seiple will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pennsylvania Kidney, or Diabetes Assoc.
