Gerald Martin Henry

Gerald Martin Henry, age 85, of York New Salem passed away Saturday May 25 at home and was being cared for by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Annabelle (Arnold) Henry who passed away 2014.

Gerald was born in York on August 24, 1938 and was the son of the late Helen (Stough) Henry and Delmar Henry. Gerald worked at Fishers Meats as a butcher and then ACCO Chain for over 34 years prior to his retirement. He was known in York New Salem for his family butchering for many years. Gerald enjoyed spending time in Perry County at the family cabin.

Gerald was a retired member at the Prince AA club, Vikings Athletic club, York New Salem Lions club, White Rose Motorcycle club. Gerald was a 1956 graduate of Spring Grove High School and enjoyed playing baseball for many years for Seven Valleys and Stoverstown in the Central league.

Gerald is survived by his son Michael Henry and his wife Peggy Henry, daughter in law Jackie Henry all of York. Granddaughter Karli Bowers and husband Daniel, grandson Shane Henry and wife Tiffany. Three great grandsons Bryce Bowers, Eli Bowers and Braxton Henry. Gerald was proceeded in death by his brother Carl Henry and his son Bryan Henry who passed away 2022.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
