

She was a member of the Camp Hill Church of God for 52 years, serving as a Life Elder, Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, recipient of the Towel and Basin award and served many years assembling and mailing the church Newsletter.
Geri retired with 30 years from Pierce Phelps in Camp Hill, Pa and was their switchboard operator. Many people were recipients of her beautifully crocheted afghans, and she was a big Penn State Football, Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. She especially loved her Stone Harbor vacations with her family.
She was born in DuBois, Pennsylvania and was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Lee Bennett, her parents Mary A. Thompson and William J. Laughlin, Marilyn Raup (sister), Shirley Goodyear (sister) and Willa Mae Metzger (sister). She is survived by her sister Mary A. Patrick (Edward), daughter Sharon Dutton (Calvin), son Roy Bennett (Cindy), daughter Susan Sockman (Bill), son Patrick Bennett (Kathy), and son Michael Bennett (Christine), 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 28th at Camp Hill Church of God, 123 N. 21st Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00am, followed by a service from 11:00am-12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Camp Hill Church of God.
