

She was the first female Deputy Sheriff in Perry County. She was later employeed by Sears, and enjoyed country music, wrestling, yard work, and spending time with her grand dog Gracie.
Surviving are sons, Barton Spigelmyer of Pittsburgh, Paul Spigelmyer of Lewistown, and John Vicchiarelli of Hbg; daughters, Jana and husband Mike Hall of VA and Sherry Smith of Hbg. She also thought of Kathy Hash as a daughter, and in addition, has several grandchildren and great-grand children; brother Ronald (Skip) Blain and wife Dotty of Carlisle; sisters, Florence Morris of SC, Patricia Hayes and Kathleen Tanous of WV, and Lois and husband (Ken) Beers of Duncannon; along with several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents, Hattie was predeceased by her son Michael Smith, sister, Mary Hendrickson, and brother, Harper Blain. Arrangements made by Zimmerman Auer Funeral Home.
No memorial services will be held at this time. Celebration of Life to be determined.
