Jack Richard Stodghill

Born on September 9, 1935, in Bicknell, Indiana, Jack was the son of the late Marvin Stodghill and Ethelyn Richards. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Rose Marie Vollmer, Paul Stodghill, Donna Meade, and Janet Sage.

Jack was a lifelong educator and scholar. He graduated from Bicknell High School, Bicknell, IN, in 1953; Wabash College, Crawfordsville, IN, in 1957 (A.B. in Mathematics and Latin); Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN (M.A. in Mathematics); and Brown University, Providence, RI (Ph.D. in Mathematics). He dedicated 31 years of his life to teaching mathematics at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly Mullen, and his children: Paul Stodghill and his wife, Cindy Robinson; John Stodghill and his wife, Karen Moul; Anne Stodghill and her husband, James Mitchell; and David Stodghill.

He was a proud grandfather to Christopher Hubbell and his wife, Katelyn Hagin; Emily Zander and her husband, Reid Kaplan; Mallory Jordan Stodghill; Emily Ramsey and Allison Quentin Mitchell; Alexis Marie and Justin David Stodghill, and great grandfather to Jackson and Kaden Hubbell and Hank Kaplan.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

No services will be held, in accordance with his wishes.
